We proudly register our puppies through "ACR"

We have found "ACR" to be the "Creme of the crop" in breed standards and backing those breed standards to assure that the Rat Terrier will remain with the look, health and temperament that Rat Terrier enthusiast love today.  

"ACR" goes the extra mile in services to give each and every breeder the tools they need to breed to "Better the Breed" and not just mass produce puppies.  "ACR" documents more genetic, health and identifying stats than any other registry that I know of.  "ACR" does not allow "Hardship or Foundation" registration.  "ACR" does not allow dogs into their ranks that a 3-generation documented pedigree can not be established on.  "ACR" places 3-generation pedigrees on each and every registration certificate.

"ACR" requires every dog shown to submit DNA samples at every show, to be micro-chipped for identification, to be looked at, measured and weighed PRIOR to entering the ring to see that they conform to BREED STANDARD.  Dogs not conforming to breed standard in weight, measurements, coat and color are not allowed to enter the ring.

"ACR" supports A.I. programs and the shipping of semen which allows breeders the choice of breeding to a dog more suited to their own dogs.

We searched high and low for a registry that was dedicated to the preservation of the Rat Terrier breed and to one who believes that breeding is just a matter of producing puppies but is for "Breeding to Better the Breed".  We searched under every rock and crevice to find one that was dedicated to helping breeders analyze their breeding stock.  We searched hill and dell to find one that the Breed Standards stood for something other than a "If you wanta use it" guideline.
